Terms of Use
These terms are maintained by Lean Engineering and apply to everyone who uses Era Coin Identifier™.
Your account
You need an account to scan coins, keep a vault or list on the marketplace. Keep your credentials to yourself — activity under your account is treated as yours. Free accounts include a fixed number of identifications; the Pro plan removes that cap.
Estimates are not appraisals
Coin identification, grade estimates, detected errors, reference weights and value ranges are produced automatically from your photographs and from public auction data. They are informational estimates, not a certified grade, an authentication, an insurance valuation or investment advice.
Always confirm high-value coins with a professional grading service before buying, selling or insuring them.
Marketplace conduct
Sellers are responsible for describing coins accurately, honouring the grade and price shown on a listing, and completing agreed sales. Buyers are responsible for their offers and messages. Era Coin Identifier lists coins and passes messages between collectors — it does not take payment, escrow funds, ship coins or guarantee any transaction.
Do not post counterfeit or stolen coins, misrepresent errors or grades, harass other collectors, or scrape the marketplace.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photographs and notes you upload. You grant us the limited right to process them so the app can identify, grade, value, display and — where you publish or share them — show them to the people you intend.
Our intellectual property
Era Coin Identifier™, its name, marks, interface and the underlying identification, optical measurement, grading and reconciliation pipeline are the confidential property of Lean Engineering and are the subject of pending patent applications (“Confidential — Patent-Pending”).
You may use the app to identify and manage your own coins. You may not copy, reverse engineer, benchmark for publication, scrape or resell the identification output, reference catalog, error database or value data, or use it to train or evaluate another model or grading service.
No escrow or money transmission
We do not hold, transmit or release funds. Accepting an offer records the price the two collectors agreed; payment and delivery happen directly between them. Any future escrow service would be introduced separately and only after the applicable money-transmission review.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as-is and may change or be unavailable while we improve it. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or these terms. We will note material changes to these terms on this page.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lean Engineering is not liable for losses arising from reliance on an automated identification, grade or value range, or from dealings between collectors on the marketplace.
