Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by Lean Engineering to explain what Era Coin Identifier does with your data. It describes the behaviour of the application itself, not any independent certification or audit.

What we collect

Account details you provide when signing up (email address and, optionally, a display name) and anything you choose to enter in the app: coin scan photographs, vault notes, acquisition prices and dates, storage locations, marketplace listings, want-list entries and messages you send to other collectors.

We do not ask for payment card details, government identifiers or precise location.

How your data is used

Scan images are sent to an AI model to identify the coin, estimate a grade, detect mint errors and produce an auction-backed value range. Results are written back to your own records. Images and identification results are used to serve you — they are not sold.

Email is used for account access and for notifications about marketplace inquiries and replies.

Who can see what

Your vault, scan history, valuations, weight measurements, want list, sales and portfolio analytics are private to your account and enforced at the database level by row-level security.

Content becomes visible to others only when you publish it: a marketplace listing, a reply to an inquiry, or a share link you generate for a single coin certificate. Share links can be revoked at any time from the coin's page, and published listings can be withdrawn.

Processors we rely on

Application hosting, database, authentication and file storage run on Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase). Coin identification and valuation use hosted Google Gemini models through the Lovable AI gateway. Transactional email is delivered by Resend. Google sign-in is available as an optional authentication provider.

Retention and deletion

Records are kept while your account is active so your collection history stays intact. You can delete individual scans, vault items, listings, inquiries and share tokens from inside the app at any time; deleting a scan removes its identification result and valuation with it.

To have your account and all associated records removed, email andrew@leanengineering.io.

Your choices

You can request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or ask for erasure using the contact address above. You can also export your holdings yourself at any time from the appraisal report and insurance schedule pages.
